Jeanice Lee talks with Amy Dryer, Executive Director of Vashon HouseHold, serving Vashon Island, providing housing support solutions to individuals and families experiencing housing instability. Dryer discusses the housing programs, including support to help residents remain in safe and stable homes. Dryer also shares the mission to strengthen long-term housing stability on the island with affordable home ownership, rental apartments and townhouses. She describes their Community Land Trust Model, and the advocacy work they are doing to not only bring awareness about affordable housing but to help locals stay on island, along with plans to expand access as local need grows.
