On January 5th, River Valley AGES celebrated the much-anticipated release of "Prayer Journal." The band's latest effort, comprising six worshipful tracks, feels like a worship collective at their prime. These new songs are a testament to the vibrant sound and spirit of the young people at River Valley Church.

The EP starts with a powerful ballad, delivering a profound truth: "i'm learning how to love and be loved by you," creating a beautiful, airy, and indie tone. The lofi guitar and vocals blend to create an ethereal and emotional atmosphere.
Track 2, "know ur love," brings the "new-believer" feeling to life with slide guitar, a catchy melody, and a universal concept that all Christians can relate to. We'll never forget the first time when we understood the love that God shows us, a love that we know we never need to second-guess.
"late night litany," a standout track on the album, presents a bedtime prayer asking God for relief from our own thoughts. Sometimes, the hardest roadblock in our lives can be ourselves, and this song fulfills the relatable feeling of needing God at all times.
